[July Newsletter] An honest summer check-in
Hi friend,
Recently, I made a few new art therapy friends in person who had only known me from online, and when they talk about what they see online from me, every single one of them says: “You do soooo much.”
And honestly… they’re right.
I’ve shared everything from watercolour for somatics, to bilateral drawing for nervous system regulation. I run The Make Space every week. I’ve created a ridiculous amount of free creative projects. I see clients. I make videos. I write newsletters like this. And truthfully?
I’ve loved it.
This page—this work—has been fun for me.
It’s a cross between my own art process, sharing it with you, building offerings to support you, and just figuring out what kind of content I actually like to make.
But last month’s newsletter was about simplicity, and that theme is still lingering.
So this month's newsletter?
I’m not here to sell you anything.
I’m just here to invite you back to art.
The thing I do best. The thing that never asks us to perform.
Yes—it’s free. Lol. Of course.
A gentle prompt for you:
Take out a pen or pencil and journal on this for a few minutes:
If I trusted that pulling back the overgrowth of what no longer serves me would help me bear more fruit in the future… what would I let go of?
Then make a small piece of art—just something tiny—infused with positive energy for what you are calling in once you make the space.
Post it in the “share your art” category inside the Creative Spark free community (if you’re not in there yet, you can join here).
Big love,
Ashleigh
P.S. The Make Space turns 1 soon (!!) and yes—there’s a birthday sale + revamp coming. Get on the waitlist for updates by clicking here.
P.P.S The Creative Explorer membership is also about to get juicier. Keep your eyes peeled, it's been my passion project all month to follow up the watercolor reset. You can still do the watercolour reset! It's 7 days of free videos for intuition, somatic release and play - sign up here for free.
P.P.P.S If you didn't see already, I made a FREE GUIDE for anyone who is a helper, healer, or professional curious about using therapeutic art in your work. You can download it for FREE by clicking here too.
But for now… let’s just make some art. 💛
