The Creative Explorer Studio (“The Studio,” “Creative Explorer,” “Explorer Membership”)

By accessing, subscribing to, or participating in The Creative Explorer Studio (the “Studio”), including its live group session component known as The Circle, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and consult a legal advisor if you have questions.

1. Not Therapy or a Substitute for Medical or Mental Health Services

The Studio is a self-paced creative resource intended solely for personal exploration and self-reflection through art-based activities. It is not, and does not claim to be, a form of psychotherapy, counseling, psychological treatment, or medical intervention.

No content, live group, or art invitation provided in the Studio (including The Circle) should be interpreted as mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are in distress or require mental health support, please consult a qualified healthcare provider in your jurisdiction.

2. No Therapeutic Relationship

While Ashleigh Gureckas is a registered art therapist, your use of the Studio does not establish a therapist-client relationship. No individualized treatment, assessment, or crisis support is being offered. The Studio is an educational platform and self-guided creative experience only.

Participation in The Circle, a monthly live therapeutic art group offered within the Studio, is for reflective, creative, and community-based purposes and is not a substitute for clinical mental health care.

3. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

By engaging with the Studio and all its contents (including prompts, videos, written materials, and live sessions), you voluntarily assume full responsibility for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

You expressly agree that your participation is at your own risk and that neither Ashleigh Gureckas nor Discover Art Therapy shall be held liable for any harm, loss, injury, emotional distress, or damages—whether direct or indirect—that may result from use of this platform or participation in any related activities.

4. Community Conduct and Confidentiality

The Studio may include access to optional group spaces, including but not limited to comment threads, group chats, and live sessions like The Circle. These are peer-based spaces, not private or confidential therapy environments.

You agree to engage respectfully, refrain from offering unsolicited advice, and avoid sharing personal or sensitive information that could compromise your privacy or the safety of others. Discover Art Therapy reserves the right to remove any participant who violates community norms or exhibits harmful behavior.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content within the Studio—including but not limited to videos, prompts, written materials, visuals, downloads, and the Studio’s structure—is the sole intellectual property of Ashleigh Gureckas and Discover Art Therapy. Content is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, share, modify, teach, or repurpose this material for any commercial or clinical use without prior written consent. For professional licensing, facilitation rights, or teaching use, contact [insert email].

6. No Guarantees or Warranties

The Studio offers no guarantee of specific results, outcomes, or emotional transformations. Art-based self-exploration is inherently personal and varies widely among individuals. Your experience and insights are your own responsibility, and the Studio is offered “as-is,” without warranty of any kind.

7. Subscription Terms & Cancellations

The Studio is offered via a recurring subscription model (monthly or annual). By subscribing, you authorize ongoing billing until you cancel. Cancellation must occur before your next billing cycle to avoid being charged. Partial refunds are not available unless otherwise required by law or clearly stated at checkout.

Discover Art Therapy reserves the right to update, pause, or discontinue any part of the Studio, including its features and content, without prior notice.

 

8. Refund Policy for Digital Content

Due to the nature of digital content and immediate access upon purchase, all sales for the Creative Explorer Studio are final and non-refundable. By enrolling, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a non-tangible, irrevocable product and waive any right to chargeback or dispute charges with your financial institution.

It is your responsibility to review the content and terms before purchasing. Limited access to preview content is available through the free Creative Spark tier. No refunds will be issued for partial use, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with subjective outcomes.

8. Consent to Terms and Release of Liability

By clicking "Join," accessing Studio content, or participating in any aspect of the Creative Explorer Studio (including The Circle), you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have obtained legal guardian consent.

  • You have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

  • You knowingly and voluntarily release Ashleigh Gureckas and Discover Art Therapy from any and all liability related to your participation.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Studio.

What kind of art materials do I need to join?
Anything! Watercolor, collage, pencil, markers—whatever you have on hand. Prompts are adaptable to you, and you don't need anything fancy.

I’m not “artistic.” Can I still join?
Absolutely. The studio is about personal emotional expression through the creative process, not perfection. All you need is curiosity and openness.

Can I preview it before joining?

Do I keep access to everything?
Yes, as long as you’re subscribed, you’ll have full access to the complete library and live monthly sessions.
