Art Therapist

These prompts are designed for personal creative exploration and are not a substitute for art therapy, psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or individualized professional support.

The idea

made to play with

These playful therapeutic art invitations were created by professional art therapist Ashleigh Gureckas to help you experiment with art-making, loosen perfectionism, slow down, and get curious about your creative process.

Please read

a few small notes

Art therapy itself is a regulated profession practised with a qualified art therapist, and a page like this can't offer it. Nothing here asks you to revisit hard memories, and nobody is interpreting your art. What you make, and what it means, stays with you.

If you are in crisis or worried about your safety, please call or text 9-8-8 (Canada and the US) or your local emergency number.

How AI was used

a note on ai

Every prompt in this generator was written and approved by Ashleigh. The page simply picks one at random from that collection: it never writes, changes or combines prompts, nothing you do here is sent to an AI, and what the page remembers stays on your own device. The prompts are made for creative exploration. They never ask you to unpack or dig into trauma, and they avoid words meant to make anyone uncomfortable. AI tools (Claude, from Anthropic) helped build this page.
