My time in the Make Space setting has allowed me to be creative weekly while engaging in more than "an art class". I have found that the more I let go of my own and /or others expectations of what the time should produce that I am gifted with the most beautiful personal glimmers of hope, love, support, resiliency, and wonder. It is a true gift being able to also witness others as they also work through life.

Art therapy with Ashleigh has been very helpful in carving out space every month for art and creativity. It’s hard to make space with a busy schedule, but I know that every other Sunday I’m making art! I really enjoy being in the space with other creatives, who value art, showing up for themselves, and community - despite their busy lives.

Make Space has given me a community where I feel uplifted and welcome. It’s a safe place to make and share my art and feelings, and having a safe place to do both is so important to me.

I am enjoying making art again without focussing on the end result. My inner child is super happy with this

My schedule can be unpredictable so I can't always make it but I really enjoy it when I can!! :)

I Love the warmup session that then leads to the larger exercise. I also really love hearing everyone's insights after the creative time is up.

I look forward to each week that I am able to attend this group. It always feels good carving out time to make some art and have a space to share as well as have my art witnessed by others.

By enrolling in this membership, you acknowledge and agree to the following legally binding terms:

1. Disclaimer – Not a Replacement for Clinical Therapy or Mental Health Treatment

☑ I understand that the Make Space Membership is a therapeutic art experience designed to support creative exploration, reflection, and self-expression. While sessions are facilitated by Ashleigh Gureckas, a Canadian professional art therapist, participation does not constitute a therapist–client relationship and is not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment.

☑ I agree that if I require individualized support, crisis intervention, or mental health counseling, I will seek a qualified mental health provider in my region.

2. Release of Liability

☑ I voluntarily choose to participate in this membership and assume full responsibility for my emotional, physical, and psychological well-being while engaging with the content.

☑ I release Ashleigh Gureckas, Discover Art Therapy, and all affiliated facilitators or collaborators from any and all liability for distress, discomfort, or emotional activation experienced during or after sessions.

☑ I acknowledge that therapeutic art may surface emotions and commit to seeking professional support if needed.

3. Recorded Content & Usage Rights

☑ I understand that all live sessions within the Make Space Membership may be recorded for redistribution and resaleas part of the growing Make Space Replay Portal or other digital products offered by Discover Art Therapy.

☑ I give express consent to be recorded and understand that my audio, video, shared artwork, and comments may appear in replay footage. If I do not wish to be recorded, I will keep my camera and microphone off and refrain from using the public chat or submitting content.

☑ Discover Art Therapy reserves the right to edit, repurpose, or use portions of recorded material for future offerings, provided that all use is done in a respectful and ethical manner.

4. No Refund Policy

☑ I understand that due to the digital nature and instant access to membership materials, all purchases are non-refundable under any circumstance, including but not limited to:

Missed sessions
Non-participation
Scheduling conflicts
Change of personal availability

☑ It is my responsibility to manage or cancel my subscription via the Member Portal. I may also email [email protected] for assistance.

5. Copyright & Personal Use Policy

☑ All materials provided within this membership — including session replays, prompts, workbooks, and art invitations — are the intellectual property of Ashleigh Gureckas and Discover Art Therapy.

☑ These materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. I will not reproduce, distribute, teach from, monetize, or share any membership materials in part or whole.

☑ Unauthorized use or redistribution of these materials may result in removal from the membership and potential legal consequences.

6. Community Guidelines – Safe & Respectful Participation

☑ I agree to participate in a respectful, kind, and non-disruptive manner in all sessions and community spaces.

☑ I understand that while sharing of artwork is welcome, the membership is not a space for crisis disclosure, clinical-level emotional processing, or therapeutic dependency.

☑ Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in immediate removal from the community without refund.

7. Membership Access & Cancellation

☑ My access to the Make Space Portal begins immediately upon purchase and includes replays, resources, and new content as released.

☑ Upon cancellation, I may choose to:

End access immediately, or
Maintain access until the end of the current billing cycle.

☑ This can be managed via the Member Portal or by contacting support.
